SENCHA KIRISHIMA ZAIRAI ORGANIC… 8.50€/50g
Sencha composed of leaves with long steaming (fukamushi) and leaves with short steaming (asamushi), grown exclusively from seeds (zairai). The fukamushi leaves give this tea roundness and sweetness, while the asamushi leaves give it a very pleasant aroma. At the same time, thanks to the combination of these two types of leaves, both the first and the second infusion are delicious, because the opening time of both types of leaves is not the same when they come in contact with the hot water in the teapot.

Senchas are Japan’s most reputable green teas and the largest group. Its name means “new”. It has a characteristic emerald color, and a fresh vegetal and marine flavor. After steaming, the leaves are rolled into very fine needles. Together with Kabusecha and Gyokuro, Senchas belong to the highest range of Japanese green teas.
